Psa 143:10

Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him.

  Pastor Justin preached an amazing sermon yesterday and God totally spoke through him. We daily rebuke Jesus. We have a plan for our lives and when things don’t go our way we get mad and tell God that ‘this isn’t right, this is NOT what I had planned for my life.’

But when Jesus turned and looked at his disciples, he rebuked Peter. “Get behind me, Satan!” he said. “You do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns.” 

Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save their lifewill lose it, but whoever loses their life for me and for the gospel will save it.”

Christ cares about my holiness more than He cares about my happiness. His priorities are greater than mine. I feel like I learn this lesson way too often…Its not the easiest really.
